The OpenH323 project provides full featured, interoperable, Open Source implementation of the ITU H.323 teleconferencing protocol that can be used by personal developers and commercial users without charge.
The free version of TrueConf Server Free is limited to one H.323 connection (no matter if it is one H.323 participant in a group conference or a 1-to-1 video connection with H.323 device). We will teach you how to connect to H.323 devices / applications and TrueConf Client client applications. We will use Polycom RealPresence as an H.323 client.

With TrueConf Server, you can call H.323 endpoints from your client applications and invite them to group conferences.

TrueConf Server full version features from 5 to 100 SIP/H.323 connections, while the free version provides only 1 connection. If you wish to request more connections, please contact TrueConf sales department.

How to call H.323 endpoint from TrueConf client application

If you want to call an endpoint that is not registered on TrueConf Server, enter its IPv4 or IPv6 address in the call string. For example, #h323:@192.168.21.114. Then follow the guidelines in the client application manual.

If your endpoint in registered on TrueConf Server, you can call it as a ordinary TrueConf user.

All ways of routing calls on H.323 endpoint are listed in TrueConf Server documentation.

You can call TrueConf users from H.323 terminal by their ID.

How to invite H.323 endpoint to TrueConf group conference

Add H.323 endpoint call string to the list of conference participants when creating the conference:

– In TrueConf Server control panel (if you are its administrator);

– In TrueConf client application.
